Mitali was born in India and relocated to New York in 1986. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (with a concentration in watercolor) and her Master of Fine Arts in India. In her own words, “Art is a beautiful and powerful way to put your hurts, pains, suffering, happiness, and accomplishments out for the world to see.”
We, artists, are not just creating beautiful art, but each piece is a part of us and an interpretation of the world and nature through our eyes after being processed through our mind, heart and soul.
Mitali is also a holistic caregiver with a keen sixth sense for what her clients and their families most need. She loves incorporating creativity and artistic expression into her caregiving. Mitali brings expressive therapy to her caregiving on a daily basis, and it is not uncommon for an individual to ask, “Can I do that too?”, when Mitali is working on an art project during a care giving shift. Many clients enjoy creating their own pieces with Mitali during their time together.
